According to 'Foot Mercado', Toure is the newest name to be considered by the Ernesto Valverde's side. The Frenchman is seen as an alternative to other deals which look to be getting more and more difficult, such as Hector Bellerin's proposed switch.
The 21-year-old has performed well this season at Monoaco, who sealed the Ligue 1 title as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.
'Sport' believes that Monaco may listen to any bids for the defender, as they look to add to there transfer warchest ahead of what they believe could be a busy summer. Bernardo Silva has already left the French side, whilst speculations persists that Tiemou Bakayoko, Kylian Mbappe, Djibril Cisse and Toure could all leave the club for pasture new this window.
It would be a smart move for Barca as they look the strengthen one of the weaker areas of their squad. Non-specialist such as Denis Suarez were often forced to play out of position at right back last season after Aleix Vidal fell out of favour due to the lack of a specialist alternative.
